1. Introduction
Tutor Frog is operated by ABC Elements LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Tutor Frog mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Tutor Frog:
- Email address — collected when you create an account, via Firebase Authentication (provided by Google).
- Student and lesson data — information you enter into the app, including student names, contact details, subjects, lesson schedules, lesson durations, rates, attendance records, lesson notes, and income entries. This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore.
- Usage and diagnostic data — basic information about how you interact with the app, such as app opens, screens used, and session activity, along with error and crash reports. This is collected through PostHog and used only to fix problems and improve the Service. It does not include the student, lesson, or income details you enter.
Calendar access. If you turn on calendar sync, Tutor Frog adds your lessons to the calendar on your device. Your calendar stays on your device; we do not upload or read your other calendar events.
We do not collect payment or billing information. All in-app purchases are processed directly by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Store and sync your lesson and student data across your devices.
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Respond to your support requests and inquiries.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
4. How We Store Your Information
Your account and app data are stored using Firebase, a platform provided by Google LLC. Firebase Authentication handles account creation and sign-in. Your lesson and student data is stored in Cloud Firestore. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. 5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Google Firebase (authentication and database hosting) and PostHog (usage analytics and error reporting) process data on our behalf and are bound by their data processing terms.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or in response to a valid legal process.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account; this permanently removes your account, students, lessons, ledger entries, and notes. You can also request deletion by contacting us at support@tutorfrog.app, and we will process the request within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Tutor Frog is designed for use by adult tutors and teachers and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your ledger at any time from the Ledger tab.
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account in the app.

10. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies independently.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
