Lesson Frog ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Lesson Frog mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). 2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Lesson Frog:
- Email address — collected when you create an account, via Firebase Authentication (provided by Google).
- Student and lesson data — information you enter into the app, including student names, contact details, instruments, lesson schedules, lesson durations, rates, attendance records, lesson notes, and income entries. This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore.
- Usage data — basic information about how you interact with the app, such as feature usage and session activity, used to improve the Service.
We do not collect payment or billing information. All in-app purchases are processed directly by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Store and sync your lesson and student data across your devices.
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Respond to your support requests and inquiries.
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
4. How We Store Your Information
Your account and app data are stored using Firebase, a platform provided by Google LLC. Firebase Authentication handles account creation and sign-in. Your lesson and student data is stored in Cloud Firestore. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. 5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Google Firebase (authentication and database hosting) processes data on our behalf and is bound by Google's data processing terms.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or in response to a valid legal process.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@lessonfrog.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Lesson Frog is designed for use by adult music teachers and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent at any time (by deleting your account).
